Traitomic, spun out of the Carlsberg Group, is commercializing a proprietary technology called FIND-IT (Fast Identification of Nucleotide variants by droplet Digital PCR) — a non-gene-editing method that accelerates the discovery of beneficial genetic traits in crops. The approach enables the rapid development of crop varieties with higher nutritional value, improved drought and heat resistance, or desirable industrial characteristics, without the regulatory burden of GMO classification. The company has identified beneficial traits across more than 25 crops, including cereals, legumes, and vegetables.
