SVG VenturesITHRIVE announces second APAC Accelerator Cohort

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, February 19th, 2024 SVG VenturesITHRIVE has announced the nine companies that will participate in the second iteration of their THRIVE APAC Accelerator Program.  Based out of Melbourne, Victoria, the program will support scaling AgTech companies from Australia and New Zealand with a focus on supporting global growth.

The APAC Accelerator program underscores SVG VenturesITHRIVE’s commitment to supporting the AgriFood tech ecosystem in the APAC region, and builds on the success of their inaugural program which concluded in June 2023. SVG|THRIVE is uniquely positioned to support APAC entrepreneurs by connecting them with their extensive global ecosystem.

Companies were selected following a virtual pitch day where 20 finalists pitched to a panel of industry judges including representatives from Dairy Australia,  Meat & Livestock Australia, GRCD, Warakirri, Breakthrough Victoria, Trawalla Group, LaunchVic and Agriculture Victoria.

The APAC Accelerator program is designed to help companies with solid traction in their home market scale internationally, leveraging THRIVE’s broad global ecosystem with a particular focus on penetrating the North American market.  The program will conclude at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit which takes place on November 7, 2024 in Silicon Valley, California with bespoke meetings with global corporates and a Silicon Valley immersion program.

The 2024 program participants have developed commercial technologies spanning biological inputs; AI; hardware and software and all have a well-established local client base in the Australian market, with many having already secured their first international clients.
