Canada’s agriculture sector will play a pivotal role in our prosperous and sustainable future. Advancement of the sector starts on the farm, and innovation is fundamental for helping farmers produce food more efficiently. A collaboration between Beyond Agronomy and THRIVE Canada activates diverse and complementary expertise and ecosystem connections to empower farmers and entrepreneurs to bridge gaps between technology development and adoption.
Beyond Agronomy provides strategic agronomic advice to farms in western Canada and internationally. Steve Larocque has unique industry expertise, insights, and connections that foster innovative farming systems, practices and technology. Steve is Chair of Nuffield Canada who provide scholarships to people in agriculture to help build leadership capacity and expertise in Canadian agriculture. He is also a member of Global Farmers Network whose mission is to advocate for agricultural technology globally. Last, he is communications director of Alberta Independent Agronomists Association (AIAA), an Alberta based group of non-bias, independent crop consultants who influence crop management decisions on over 4 million acres in Alberta.
