June 17, 2024- Marion will play a key role in developing our company strategy, investment thesis and overall growth in addition to our EMEA expansion plan. Marion will also work on advancing our open innovation model, corporate service offerings, tools, and AI platform. As a member of SVG’s Strategic Advisory Board, she will provide valuable guidance on growth strategy, portfolio development, customer acquisition and fundraising.
Marion is a strategist, business developer and investor with more than 20 years of management and leadership experience. Her track record ranges from strategic development, building and leading operations to innovation management. During her career she led growth projects as well as programs to strengthen operational excellence and served on various public & private boards. She is enthusiastic about exploring new business areas, identifying action steps and opportunities, and executing final value – and is passionate about AgriFood & ClimateTech innovations.
Marion worked in strategy management, M&A and new business operations in the media industry where she drove digitalization and portfolio development, ran optimization projects and managed a new product direct sales business. 2012 she joined BayWa AG (SDAX: BayWa) as Head of Business Development and steered the launch of the company’s eBusiness platform, co-launched a digital Farm-Management-System and was deeply engaged with the companies’ international expansion and portfolio development. 2016, she was appointed COO to the Executive Board of Netherlands-based international agri trading unit Cefetra Group, to jointly set-up the unit for performance and further steps, such as the successful development and execution of the portfolio diversification and growth strategy. 2019, she was named Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer for BayWa Group, being responsible for the corporate strategy as well as for innovation initiatives, such as creating an AI Center of Excellence, venture building / incubation projects, open innovation programs and collaborations. Marion founded and managed the CVC BayWa Venture GmbH and served on several board positions of portfolio companies.
Marion holds a Diploma in Business Administration of Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Ravensburg and has completed executive management programs in disruptive innovation, investment management and artificial intelligence impact at both Stanford and Harvard Universities.
